The Hispanic Commercial Guide, Inc. / La Guía Hispana is a Connecticut-based corporation
that was established in April 1996 by Aida and Clodomiro Falcon with the purpose of fulfilling
the need of a Yellow Pages directory in Spanish, specially designed for Fairfield County’s
growing Hispanic community.

The small business that started with four people in the basement of Clodomiro and Aida’s
home in Trumbull now operates in a corporate building in Stratford with a staff of fourteen. After
the planning stages, the first sales campaign began on January 27, 1997 and thus the premier edition of La Guía Hispana of Fairfield County was launched on October 24, 1997.

Since then, La Guía has grown from one print directory with 30,000 copies and less than 100 customers, to three directories with a combined circulation of 130,000 copies and a customer
base of more than 1,000 clients. Currently, La Guía publishes two directories in Connecticut covering Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties, and one in New York serving Westchester
and Putnam counties.

From the very beginning Clodomiro Falcon, its President and CEO, focused on producing, distributing, and promoting a product aimed to satisfy both the users’ and the advertisers’ needs, positioning La Guía as the cornerstone of any successful integrated media plan targeting the Hispanic market.

The success of La Guía is based not only on the fact that it is extensively used by the Hispanic consumer and is delivering results for its advertisers, but also as a consequence of a well encompassed teamwork where each member of the organization contributes the most to
make La Guía Hispana the Premier Yellow Pages directory in Spanish in the areas it covers.

Today, La Guía has an online version for those who prefer using the Internet, and has become the Leading Spanish Yellow Pages in Connecticut and Westchester County, N.Y.
